Good things come to those who swim.

Guinness Swimming Club grew out of the St James's Gate brewery's long sporting tradition, and we still train where it all started — the Guinness Swimming Pool on Watling Street, in the heart of Dublin 8. Today we are a Swim Ireland affiliated masters club, open to masters swimmers of every speed and story.
We swim year-round: structured pool sessions three times a week, with both competitive and social lanes, and when the water warms up we take the club to the sea — social evening swims at Killiney beach all summer long, and a full calendar of open-water races around Ireland for those who want to pin a number on.
Trial sessions and memberships are available to masters swimmers — get in touch before your first visit and we'll set you up with a lane.
What we're made of
Some of us race, some of us come for the chat between sets. Both are the point. Members, friends and family are welcome at the summer sea swims — the club is the people, not the stopwatch.
Like the perfect pint, good swimming can't be rushed. We build it session by session — technique, endurance, and the stubbornness to show up on a wet Monday in November.
Dublin swims in the sea, and so do we. From Killiney dips to island crossings, we keep the open-water heritage alive — safely, together, and never alone in the water.

Trial sessions and memberships are available to masters swimmers only. If you'd like to try a session, contact the club in advance so we can expect you on deck — then just bring togs, a towel and goggles.
Not sure you're "club standard"? There's no such thing here. If you can swim lengths and want company doing it, you're our kind of swimmer.
